Press Z or X to enable the mouse cursor when running on desktop. Use the arrow keys (or directional buttons) to adjust the loop length if the initial bootup test doesn't produce an accurate result (but this shouldn't be necessary in the majority of cases).

Picunki is a little musical toy based off the 'Sprunki' series of apps (which themselves are based off the 'Incredibox' web-games). Drag icons onto the characters to play different layers of a musical loop. Click or tap on characters to reset them.

This should run in most browsers, on both mobile and desktop platforms, but some mobile platforms have lots of audio glitching. Desktops seem to be reliable.

This is a present for the 5th birthday of my son, Hershel. It's been wonderful to discover new things while chasing his interests! If you have musically-curious young kids, my highest ambition is that they might enjoy playing with this for a few seconds :)

Happy birthday Hershel, I hope you have fun with this! I love you very, very much.

I'm kind of done with this project, so I'm not intending to add any further characters, but you're very welcome to do anything you want on youtube with it! :)

okiee

its just a blank screen, so bruh.

Is it not starting up for you? The opening speed test is a blank screen, that should only take a few seconds to check.

yes it doesn't

Huh, sorry, PICO-8 works in-browser on most devices, but I guess not all :/

nah, don't worry

Thanks so much mate, I appreciate that! Hope all is well with you and yours!

By the way, did you play this on desktop? Did the timing of the musical loop sound okay to you? I've only tested it on my desktop and some mobile devices, and while the timing is pretty consistent on my desktop (not perfect, but passable), it's a fraction of a second out on mobile devices in a really jarring way. I'm considering rewriting it to test the native playback speed at startup and adjust animation and loop length accordingly (at the moment, it's a hardcoded 498 frames).
Edit: This is fixed in v1.1 :)
